The murder trial of Glen Hogan, the man charged in the Dec. 31, 2016 murder of Joe Shuping begins with jury selection September 16. Hogan is the first of four individuals charged in the case to go on trial. The others, Marvin Peterkin, Jose Sauceda Lara Jr. and Reuben Saldana Gonzalez are awaiting trial.

In addition to those arrested on murder charges, the district attorney’s office recently brought charges against two additional individuals, Destiny Dobberowsky of Stedman and Samuel Robinson of Raleigh.  Dobberowsky was charged with aid and abet armed robbery and placed under a $10,000 secured bond. Robinson was charged with accessory to murder after the fact and placed under a $125,000 secured bond.
