One week after the regular board of commissioners meeting on Aug. 12, the Biscoe Police Department and town administration were making progress to address the complaints and concerns of approximately 20 citizens. Johnie Harris, spokesman for the residents of Bruton and Leach streets, made the formal complaint against the police department and specifically one officer during an event on Aug. 12. A woman in a speeding car on Bruton Street did not stop for an officer and continued driving to a Leach Street location. Meanwhile, Candor, Star and a Montgomery County deputy responded to the officer’s call for backup.
