Shane Armstrong, interim Biscoe Police Chief since June, was sworn in as chief of police at the regular meeting of the Biscoe Board of Commissioners meeting on Oct. 14. Armstrong’s wife, Chastity, held the Bible as the oath was administered by Laura Morton, town clerk. Commissioners John Beard, Jerry Smith and Gene Anderson and Mayor Jimmy Blake expressed their appreciation to Armstrong for his continued service to the town. Commissioner Kay Cagle-Kinch was unable to attend due to illness.
Town Manager Brandon Holland said the decision to offer Armstrong the position was based on his performance as interim chief.
