Steve Alexander Lemons, 72, of Mt. Gilead, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2020 at his residence.
Services will be private.
Mr. Lemons was born January 8, 1948 in Guilford County, the son of the late Shelton Eugene Lemons and Louise Mildred Duggins Lemons. He was a plumber in the construction industry and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was very involved in the Boy Scouts, having served as a Boy Scout coordinator in Brown Summit. He also liked to read, camp and be very creative; he liked to build things with his hands.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Janice Hawks Lemons of the home; son, Steven Alexander Lemons Jr. of Greensboro; daughter, Wendy L. Buchanan of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; stepson, Bryan Hawks of Trinity; stepdaughter, Diane Eppley of Thomasville; seven grandchildren; and five stepgrandchildren.
Services are entrusted to Bumgarner Family Funeral Service.
