Traditions are important in high school athletics. Montgomery Central Timberwolves’ wrestling coach, Michael Maness, is keeping the tradition of having a duals wrestling tournament intact in the county.

The first Montgomery Central Duals took place Jan. 11 at West Montgomery with the Timberwolves hosting six high school wrestling teams from across the Piedmont area. When the day was over, the Timberwolves brought home some hardware, taking third place in the Montgomery Central Duals, while freshman Aldo Hernandez was named the Most Outstanding Wrestler for the lightweights.
