At this month’s meeting of the board of education, Superintendent Dr. Dale
Ellis updated the board on the progress at the new educational complex which
is nearing completion.
Currently the area remains a construction zone with numerous details being addressed, one of which includes moving furniture in. That move time is fluid depending on the architect’s punch list. Items such as the glass partition on the rails are delayed and there is no word on when they will arrive. The skyfold door on the second floor near the media center has been installed and the phone line installation for the elevator is scheduled. The ceiling tiles in the cafeteria were recently completed and the wireless access points have now been installed in the cafeteria. The gym floor has been painted and sealed; bleachers and wall pads are also being installed.
