Shots rang out and bullets flew in December as a group of women took to the range and competed against women from all across the nation in what was, for many of them, the first shooting competition they’d ever been in. It was the result of several months of learning and practice as part of a women’s shooting league. 

A little over six months ago, Kay Rogers, owner of Troy Outfitters, started a local chapter of a nation-wide, Texas-based organization known as A Girl and A Gun.
