The county monument committee met faster than what it appeared they would.

Russell Fuller indicated at last month’s county commissioner meeting the committee would likely not be able to meet and have a recommendation regarding a request to cover up or remove the wording on the rear of the war statue that sits on the lawn of the courthouse until December; however, the group, consisting of Tommy Blankenship, Edd Stuart, Ron Seabolt, Gracia Pack, Russell Fuller, Sally Morris, and Ronnie Carpenter, met and by late yesterday afternoon, County Manager Matthew Woodard sent commissioners the recommendation of the committee.
