The Montgomery County Humane Society will host an open house event on Saturday, November 21, from 2-4 p.m. for their new adoption center.

The adoption center was built as a result of the Humane Society’s partnership with the county. According to Humane Society president Steve Hair, once the adoption center opens, it will be their sole focus.

The current facility will then be operated by Montgomery County Animal Control, and will receive any animals that are brought in. Once they are spayed or neutered, and receive other medical care like shots, they will be moved to the adoption center.
