With the regular season winding down, the Montgomery Central Timberwolves’ men’s basketball team was hungry for another win. With the 3A playoffs seemingly out of the question, winning their final four games would be a great way to end a season of what could’ve been.

The Timberwolves hosted the West Stanly Colts Feb. 4 at East Montgomery High School. The Colts had previously had their way with the Timberwolves for three quarters in Endy, winning easily. This time around the Timberwolves came out ready to play.

Senior Q.J. Drake lit up the scoreboard for 30 points and pulled down 15 rebounds and fellow senior, Keyshon Ingram, poured in 25 points to lead the home team to a 94 – 88 win in the high-scoring game.

“Really happy for and proud of the guys,” stated head coach Randy Jordan. “ It was a lot of fun to watch them put it together.”
