MCHS Varsity football

Trae Capel finds running room and protects the ball on the go.

The Montgomery Central High School varsity football team has been pressing ahead through very difficult times. They are plagued with injuries for key players and notably missing players on the line. Still they have powered through and put their best efforts into each game as they face giants in their schedule. After a tough loss to the Monroe Redhawks (one of the best teams in the state), the Timberwolves had to go on the road to face another top ranked team at Forest Hills.

The Yellow Jackets have been lights-out good this season thus far. They were coming into the match 4-0, blowing away most teams with scores in the 50s and only giving up a touchdown to most opponents along the way. The only game that was close for the Yellow Jackets was against a tough Charlotte Latin crew in which Forest Hills still pulled off a victory with a score of 16-14. The Timberwolves would have to shake things up to give them a game and make a statement early if they were to gain and keep any momentum.
