Saturday, January 8, the Montgomery Central wrestling team traveled to Southwestern Randolph High School to compete in a dual tournament that consisted of seven teams. The Timberwolves had a strong showing in the tournament, finishing the day with a 3-2 record and finishing third. 

Montgomery Central faced off against a well-known foe in North Stanly; and although the Timberwolves won, the match was close. After splitting the first two matches due to forfeits, Montgomery Central went on a run, winning the next six matches.
